Position Overview

Join our Delta Contracting  team and become part of our truck transportation crew. Under supervision and training, you’ll safely load, transport, and unload our equipment using a truck and lowboy trailer, both locally and non-locally.

Essential Job Duties

  •  Load, transport, and unload company equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Perform daily inspections of equipment for any hazards or defects, reporting any issues.
  • Operate specialized equipment requiring technical expertise.
  • Maintain cleanliness, maintenance, and secure storage of equipment.
  • Prioritize safety, especially in high traffic and construction sites.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers.
  • Be flexible with working hours, including overtime, nights, weekends, and travel.
  • Maintain valid Class A CDL, medical card, and acceptable driving record.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Class A CDL and medical card.
  • Previous experience in heavy hauling.
  • Preference given to candidates with construction industry experience.
  • Familiarity with FMCSA/DOT regulations and fleet safety.
  • Ability to work effectively in a construction environment with diverse personalities.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

  • Exposure to various weather conditions.
  • Physical tasks include lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, and working in tight spaces.
  • Tolerance to noise levels and potential exposure to contaminants.
  • Must wear personal protective equipment as required.
  •  Must have the ability to travel for overnight work for extended periods.
